Résumé
Presents results of experiments which tested the criticism of theories of analogy when solving problems, that, in the case of story analogues, the solution statement part may be accessed directly using schematic knowledge and that they fail to model the role of goals. Proposal of a theory of solution generation by analogy; Results confirming the prediction that functionally relevant attributes influence the generation of solutions by analogy.
