Résumé
The issue of what role, if any, introspective reports ought to play in psychological research has resurfaced as a consequence of cognitively oriented psychologists' renewed interest in verbal reports as a source of data. The validity of verbal reports is examined also in relation to studies dealing with role-playing and S interpretations of experimental situations.
