Research topics
Our research themes address the study of the cognitive mechanisms used during comprehension, reasoning, and knowledge acquisition, both from a general and a developmental perspective. Research questions are current and based on topics established at an international level. A particular emphasis is placed on school learning and CAL (Computer Assisted Learning), which is why both general cognitive and developmental approaches must be used. Our goal is to study activities while maintaining the ecological nature of the proposed tasks as well as their complexity. The experimental method is used predominantly, while aiming to achieve an analyse of complex activities using the organisation of behaviours and not just their frequency, as well as their content (going beyond classic binary explanations such as success/failure). Therefor, in addition to the usual statistical analyses, we also use individual protocols and models to analyse the activities in question. Creation date : 01/06/2006 @ 12:32 |
